He was according to me with the best trainer in PE.
He was one of those unlucky horses that the merit rating oke had a field day with.
Won his maiden got 79. Won his next race went to 81, his next race jumped to 88 after that the merit rating oke really got into him he is presently on a 96. Never raced in a future yet.
Racing future blink for him in PE. One of my other horses Senjor Josh also under the stick 102MR. Never raced in a future asswell.
Classic Oassis won three races and earned more than any one of them.
Barthez raced in PE but got jhb merit rating for far less stake cheque's.
The way i see it, if they want to treat my horse the same as jhb horses they must lift the stake cheque's to the same as JHB.
Some of the highest merit rating horses are in PE take Paris Perfect and Senjor Josh.
Only up here for three weaks, one week of raining and still have to climitise.

pe trainers struggle to match their hotties against the best, its obvious the handicappers do not take the varying field quality into account, mostly just look for a line horse in the race and rate accordingly.

if it wasnt so expensive, perhaps it would make sense for you to run the horse in a few races up here, and should he be found out in ability, the MR should drop fairly dramatically before sending him back to PE?

i think u guys missed Magic Lipz runner!Count west beat both Western Serenade/Thundering Jet by 7 lenghts-both were impressive winners on Sat.

Doyen...I would'nt take Thundering Jets run behind Count West at face value. That was clearly part of his prep together with Saturdays run for the upcoming Classic.
Count West is also well held by Lightning Lecture a few runs back and has also been given almost the full adjustment for his last facile win. His previous runs also do not inspire much confidence in a field such as this.
