Our countries selection process for all sports, is messed up.
Very few are chosen on merit, a lot has to do with wealth, family name and status.
If cricket were chosen on merrit we would be world champs. The amount of talent that I have seen thrown to waste at junior level is scary, to mk provincial is damn near impossible. I will tell the minister to his face if I have to. Parents play the part as well, they know who thye need to be friendly wih etc.
