Johan greeted me on course as he arrived, this was at the Cafe seating on the decking and said to me he and his wife who was with as always told me in a very distressed state, he had just been robbed of his chain which he wears as it was given to him by his father which is an heirloom, the man put his arm through the window of his car which was barely open and threatened him and ripped his chain off around his neck and then disappeared in between the traffic. He was in a state of obvious remorse and shock and very angry. I may have heard him wrong but that's what I picked up. His horse won next race and tried to get this across on tv. Well done Johan, winning the race will not bring any consolation but the thief and his accomplices time and their justice will come.
