Dave i am surprised Mourinho didn't go out and buy a striker UNLESS the one he as after was Falcao who picked up that injury.

It's about opinions, but I can't see where you make a strong point for Hughes in management.
The only thing he has won is being top for four years at Blackburn for the worst disciplinary record.
At least he's at the right team for that type of football.

You haven't replaced Drogpa yet. The only chance of getting a result at City is to park the bus and catch them on the break. Otherwise it will probably be something like 4-2. If he does park the bus and City get an early break they are in big trouble when they come out. Can't wait for the game. Should be a classic.

Dave :S when you talk about my "strong point", are you simply referring to me saying that I don't think he is a bad manager? And if we measure all managers by what they actually win then the list would be fairly short. The only club with a realistic chance of trophies (though all have a chance of course) in the ones he has managed was Man City and imo life was probably very difficult for him there and he was probably cut short in the building process. I am not saying he is a great manager, simply that for me, the jury is still out. He was very poor at QPR but it is not so unusual for a manager to find one club he struggles at for whatever reason. I am not sure how you can label him a bad manager with the work he did at Blackburn, Wales and to an extent Fulham. They hardly have reputations as world beaters.

Let's see what he does with Stoke..
Not looking to good at the moment, let me make another couple of points then.
Has he improved any clubs he has managed? and when he has been sacked or left, has that club improved?

:S again lol I repeat I am not saying he is a good manager, simply that the jury is still out in my book but, I think it harsh to call him a bad manager now as I don't think his record to date deserves that. Wales and Blackburn definitely improved under him if memory serves me right and then plummeted after he left. Fulham stayed around the same place I think, City almost inevitably kept going. QPR were pretty sh1t when he joined and worse when he left. But, that is enough from me on this, if you choose to think he is sh1t then lol you are of course entitled to think so :)

If memory serves correct, Stoke did go on a good run this season... around that time they beat Chelsea :)

Think it might well be a draw as Watford are something of draw specialists away from home but had a little on Forest 3-1 tonight

Stoke Lost 1 of 4 EPL games in November ( To Everton away ) and 2 of 6 games in December ( to Newcastle and Spurs both Away )

From a Man United Fan, i consider that a decent run.
Remember we lost to the same 3 sides and we still serious contenders for the league :D
