I've got to agree with Engles, about the race calling regarding these short priced favourites..they are calling what they think should happen, not what is actually happening.
Dumpy, has said Forest Digger is hard on the steel at the 1900 metre mark, what does he expect. Then in the straight,Forest Digger is hard held.
FD is steel cruising apparently 300 out.
WATCH the race Dumpy

In a handicap all runners are weighted per their ratings so unless under sufference no horses should be weighted to win a handicap. There are occational exceptions, like when Muthai Pillay ran 2nd to Henry Higgins above his rating and was carded to run the next week and because he never won the precious race ran off his mark carded which was well under his 2nd.

when he said he was hard held turning into the straight, the winner was cruising all over him and was already looking like race over...

And the jock thinks he is racing in an 800m dash....what's worse is that it didn't run far off them which says to me that she was fit and with some restraint she could have been very competitive.....

If this was his instructions.....what goes through these trainers minds to give such instructions? If it was the jocks choice......well, I'm just blown away is all.

Graft is alive and well boys.................
