PUKKE and TUKS should both win well. Rain could play a factor in the Gauteng games again. Both IKEYS and Shimlas blow hot and cold so alot depends on which teams show up on the day. I fancy Shimlas to upset IKEYS away from home. MATIES and UJ have both performed below expectations this year. Both teams need a win desperately to keep their semi final hopes alive. I believe MATIES could take this one as well as they always seem to win crunch matches.

Should be some interesting rugby. (tu)

Last round before the play-off's and only Pukke looks certain of a home semi taking on the struggling UJ team at home. Pukke by 8 or more.UCT plays away against Wits who is bowing out of varsity cup. UCT plays well on the road and will go full-out to secure a home semi. Wits will again show the 'never say die' type character again, but UCT should pull it off by 5 or more. NMMU travels to the Free State. UFS-Shimlas find themselves in sixth place, but they are still just four log points behind NMMU and could leapfrog them with a bonus-point win, but coming off 2 wins the confidence must be high and NMMU should take it by 3 or more.

Do or die for both Tuks & Maties. Both teams on 16 log points but Tuks in 4th position due to points difference. Very difficult to call this one, but after a crushing defeat in last years final, Maties will seek revenge. Maties to take it by 6 or more in front of their loyal home crowd.

Enjoy. (tu)

Pukke. Been the most consistent side throughout the competition. They will also get a home semi and final.

I would go along with that. Maties looked impressive in the second half last night. (tu)

Semi-final time.

Ikeys vs Maties @ 16h30 live on SS201
Pukke vs Nmmu @ 19h00 live on SS201

Wet in Cape Town. Both defeat's for Ikeys were at home. Maties played brilliant rugby in the 2nd halve last week against Tuks and if they can produce same tonight, might sneak this game, but the Ikeys will be confident after 3 victories in a row. Maties by 4 or more.

NWU-Pukke have lost just one game this season, and they showed the Madibaz no mercy in their 52-16 demolition of the Eastern Cape side back in Round Four, so they will be full of confidence heading into this one – knowing that a first-ever home final is within reach. The Madibaz lost to Shimlas last week, but sneaked into the semi's grabbing a late try which earned them two bonus points and ended UFS-Shimlas’ campaign. Pukke by 10 or more

A penalty at a very wet Green Mile could decide the game.

And they are not taking it....(Maties) All the pos & territory and nothing to show. A real k*k place to play rugby, if the south-easter don't blow u away, it rains....and it take's you 5 min's to get to their 'primitive' cloak rooms. :D

Go Maties
