If Captain America runs in the July will be favourite and will win if ridden from a handy position, different tactics on Met day cost him the race. Vee said in Panel discussion that this horse should have been entered for Met, but will prove all his critics wrong come Vodacom Durban July.

Just remember that this time last year a horse like Vercingetorix hadn't seen the racecourse yet. I recon if he had run in the July he would have gone close.

way too early to speculate with many youngsters waiting to come out for the Triple Crown/ Tiara - Rather put your money in the bank until May

What if a horse like Mister Cricket wins 2/3 or 3/3 legs of triple crown?
Or santa carolina is a freak n shits in on saturday and then kills the fillies in the triple tiara?
Thenwho will we go with?
Or if Masterofmyfate has improvement to come?(Older horse winning July like last year?)
Me think Captain America is very good, but twice beaten by 'outsiders' shows he is not the best.
Also watch for a horse like whistle stop for huge improvement.
Willow magic may not stay.
I do hope we have a daily news july double. Coz nothing better than having a dominan 3yo champion

Just like the met, don't see a point in trying to pick the winner in the main race. In exotics go wide, and rather pick up the better prices on the other races. Form, tactics etc is all a hit and miss when it comes to these races. My opinion is that being a handicap you just need to look at horses that haven't been hurt by the handicapper and hope for a decent price.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

Agree with Shrek. There are still some unraced guns about to fire.
Furthermore, the oly 3-yo's which count are Joburg's 3-yo's.
