These days use the threads initially for news on weather and tracks.
Very grateful to owners and trainers who inform on well being of horses.
Finally those that point out anomalies of ratings or differences with official ratings like 2cents, Pirates, Frodo etc.
No matter how much work we do it's often easy to miss some of these in our own workings!

We are all human and like rob faux says, we miss things sometimes; so it's always helpful to read about what others think - and in this case I have to commend Englander and shrek for always explaining their selections - in the end we all make up our minds, but it stands to reason (as with life in general) that the most accurate decisions are those that are based on the widest possible net of input / information / knowledge

All I can say is that the quality of information from the posters on this site is of a far higher quality than the paid presenters on tv

More people would call the Gambling Addicts Helpline if they made every 5th caller a winner.

I bumped into an old friend who asked how I was keeping since the last time he seen me.
"Well, the debts are still piling up if I'm honest Terry" I replied
He said "You know what's responsible, don't you? Alcohol and Gambling!"
"Thanks for being so understanding mate, you're the first person to say it wasn't my fault"

Bob charters an overnight Gambling bus trip to Fairview Races for the Elderly.
An elderly woman comes up to the bus driver and says, "I've just been molested!"
The driver felt that she had fallen asleep and had a dream. So he tells her to go back to her seat and sit down.
A short time later, another old woman comes forward and claims that she was just molested. The driver thought he had a bus load of old wackos, but who would be molesting those old ladies?
About 10 minutes later, a third old lady comes up and says that she'd been molested too.
The bus driver decides that he'd had enough and pulls into the first rest area.
When he turns the lights on and stands up, he sees an old man called Scotia on his hands and knees crawling in the aisles.
"Hey gramps, what are you doing down there?" says the bus driver.
"I lost my toupee. I thought I found it three times, but every time I tried to grab it, it got up and ran away!"
