Race 3; MR73: #12 CASHA; on AR's has a favourable weight advantage; a beaten favourite; jockey Striker rides; lightly raced: at least 9/2 and plenty of 6's and better are around.

Race 4; Maidens: #1 CAPTAIN'S PLEASURE; on AR's has some good weight advantage: at least 9/2 and 11/2 and better are around.

Race 5; MR87: #10 TOMORROW'S MISS; on AR's has a very solid favourable weight advantage: nap it

Race 6; Wolf Power: #7 CAPTAIN LARS; unbeaten last three; downed a subsequent winner in penultimate start; de Kock trains: at least 5/1 so shop around

Race 7; Three Troikas: #2 CLOSE THE GAP; going for four in a row; easy and impressive in those starts; classy; has some good weight advantage; runs fresh: at least 28/10 and plenty of 4's and better are around.

Race 8; Tony Ruffel: #1 CHEKILLI; unbeaten; easy and impressive in all its starts; good draw; very speedy; at least 22/10 so shop around.

Prosperous punting B)-

Ohiki Bay has done well at this c & d and is drawn well so could place.

American Storm loves this course and is drawn well.

Athina gets Cormack back on and I think this distance will suit.

Some very competitve racing complicated by a soft track and many scratchings - thoughts:

R1: Apparently according to Joey Soma on USO this morning, Dollar Dazzler is the real deal - scratched at Scottsville when odds-on in a race won by a stable mate - very weak opposition, so only the going could beat it imo

R2: Competitive maiden for fillies - nothing stands out imo - Galaxy Gold ran on nicely in her last start, but that was a weak field - wide draw and no experience on the soft - at the end I went for Umtata who at least has a nice draw and will see out the trip

R3: Very tough fillies and mares handicap - Sicilia probably a narrow choice, but many with chances, I thought Ruby Chimes who has run well on this track and has placed twice in soft going, is a definite inclusion from a good draw

R4: None of these have really been exposed to soft conditions, so it is a bit of a guessing game; the Adamson stable cracked a double on Thursday, so Imperial King must be considered, along with the favorite Cervantes, who comes out of a strong formline, and should have improvement to come; Captain's Pleasure is also improving, but will have to get lucky from that draw.

R5: Very open fillies and mares handicap, all runners bar maybe Fanzene (better shorter imo) have chances here - I think the value is down at the bottom of the boards with Come With Me and Fortitude

R6: Halve the Deficit by far my best bet - pity about the scratching of Killua Castle, as the price has now come down - Captain Lars to pick up the pieces should Halve the Deficit 'fall in a hole'

R7: Fillies feature, where everything points to Athina, fair draw, well weighted, acts in the soft; Olive Leaf the unknown quantity who must be include in everything - place moeny to be fought out by Winter Star, Close the Gap, For the Lads and Samba Serenade

R8: Pace will be the key - may not be a bad idea to include Mr Mulliner who has run close to Sovereign Mint (who almost beat Mr Cricket)
in the maidens

R9: Solar Triptych the obvious one, going the only possible problem; Arctic Hooligan fair place value imo

Enjoy (tu)
