This is bols.
Shudnt be called a derby then.
Should rather take it off the racing calendar.
Stupid move!

Last year's winner (?) can also win this year's race. A double Derby winner for the same Derby.

Who have been the winners of these 2 races in the past 5 years?
I cant remember but maybe GC are hoping to improve the chances of the KZN trainers.
Just remeber that stupid here still thinks of C Laird.Tarry and De Kock as visitors

Not that it really matters to me, but would you classify Tarry as a KZN trainer :S

I suggest they also reduce the distances to 1400m and run them on the new all weather track at Greyville as MR 64 events. Oh! And make it for local horses only. Then they will truly be catering to the widest range of horses and should have massive entries.

should have increased the stakes of both races to 500K with the added bonus of automatic entry into the July and kept the age restrictions in place - Top field would be automatic
