Looks a day where the weather might have some say - thoughts:
R1: Workriders - fancied runners drawn wide - I'm staying out, but for the Bi-Pot will definitely include Buddy's Falcon; also the Silvano filly Anita has a good rider and may improve to feature from a good draw
R2: Abstract looks the best horse in this field, but lack of a recent run may find him out; Manzai the obvious danger.
R3: A weak looking bunch where anything can happen - I'm including horses like Daring Bid, Dance Away and Tormentress in my exotics
R4: Silva Hawk the obvious one, but very short in the betting - inside track could maybe be a problem, so not the worst idea for value to back him up with Flaming Ace in the P6 and JP
R5: Open fillies and mares handicap; Come With Me improved last time and should enjoy the softer underfoot conditions and from a fair draw is my first choice; obvious dangers include Moggytwoshoes and the younger Herathenavigatrix (both need to get lucky from their draws though) and Besame Mucho; perhaps Perfect Winter and Dirtydealinmama if it dries out by then could also feature
R6: Meissa should be too good here from American Storm and Move Like Jagger
R7: Competitive handicap - value here for me is Beat the Odds (better off at the weights with Microstate); obvious chances to Chip 'n Putt and Commodore Al; Prince of Darkness much better form recently (last run ran to a 67 imo) and could make trifectas and quartets pay - I have given up on Great White, but he can feature if the going is not soft when they race
R8: Another tough race to close; Velvet Verona has had one run over this 1000 in soft conditions and failed, so not sure what to expect today; Greasepaint will improve this trip if it stays dry enough - many others to be considered
Enjoy (tu)

Thanks for the great review Frodo (tu)
For what it's worth...
CUIRASS - Can't see her losing and bookmakers are brave offering 14/10, I'm getting stuck into this one to hopefully setup a good day.
GRACY CAT - Houdalakis stable, not sure if there are a few question marks with regards to the wellness of some, maybe someone can provide a little clarification. My reasoning is both contenders PAPA JOE and WUNOUT have been scratched in the last and both are from the Houdalakis stable. I just can't have GRACY CAT based on that.
SILVA HAWK - I'd be really worried about taking the 9/20 on offer but all to their own, for me I'm staying out.
MEISSA - Plagued with problems @ evens I wouldn't even take a place bet.
DIRTY DEALING MAMA - Van Zyl stable showing some return to form recently and I give her a big chance if overcoming the draw. She's run on the slightly soft before and ran 3rd so I don't believe the going will be against her today if it stays GOOD - SOFT.
RAND CLUB, MICROSTATE, CHIP 'n PUTT and COMMODORE AL - Nothing to chose here and all weighted to finish in a straight line. RAND CLUB for Mr. Scott (tu) will get it right today and should punish this field as he's needed his last couple of runs. Finishes like a rocket and IMO if 85% fit will be impossible to beat.
MALACHITE - Probably the easiest selection on today's card for my money, he's well in at the weights and has VELVET VERONA stone cold at the weights. IF (BIG IF) running to form should win by half a length, great value IMO (tu)
Good luck to all (tu)

I also like Leah's Little Luv today.
She's had some bad draws and also pulls on occasion so hopefully from the 1 draw she can get some cover and run on in the straight.
She was moving ok 3 runs back at this course before finding traffic problems.

Race 1: Cuirass looks the right one in this race. I expect better runs from Gracy Cat and Buddy's Falcon
Race 2: Abstract the right one. Manzai with Fourie up should do much better and can upset the favourite. Captains Anchor looks to be a improving sort.
Race 3: I give Mrs Hancock one more chance today.I like Vigilio to run a big race
Race 4: Silva Hawk looks like a penalty kick. Obvious dangers are Flaming Ace and Son of Approval.
Race 5: Come With Me will like the softer going today annd is a big danger. Moggytwoshoes runned on well last time and do has a say here. Dirtydealinmamma in with a shout as well.
Race 6: Meissa do has some problems but with Striker up could run them off their feet. American Storm likes this course and I expect a good run here. Move like Jagger must not be left out of anything.
Race 7: Microstate runned a nice race last time and was strongly fancied by me. Another Chance today!! Rand Club, Chipnputt, Commodore Al all in with a shout.
Race 8: I fancy Viking Here to be victorious here. Velvet Verona is talented and must has a big shout. Malachite is nicely weighted and can upset them all. Keep an eye on One Cool Dude.
