Does this mean:
a) if bookmakers dont capitulate to TTs conditions they wont get feed?
b) Joe Soap wont get feed as no 239?
c) the death bell for horsehorse racing in SA?

I might be suffering from tinnitus or mild schizophrenia because I hear Jim Morrison and The Doors singing "This Is The End ..." quite clearly in my head - Wonder if Riaan and Marcus hear it too?

What happened to the 6 months story? I thought 239 would remain on DSTV for 6 months after the 27 March date?

This is totally confusing

Would be nice if any one from Phumelela who reads the site responds to all the rumours , as it is quite obvious from the posts that most of their clients /punters are totally confused with all that has happened up to now..

100% - Just tell us what's going on while you still have a channel to broadcast on

I see that the article on News24 covering this topic attracted exactly zero comments from the public at large, so it's quite obvious (to the clan anyway, if not to Big P) that this forum represents their target audience. It would be useful if they would get off their high horse, and fill us in.

On the other hand, perhaps they just don't know, or care, what happens next.

As I understand it (and I may be totally wrong - so clarity from anywhere would be nice ::o), nothing has changed:

1. Multichoice has decided that TT on 239 will cease on 26 March
2: TT / P is in discussions with Multichoice for a short tem reprieve (3 or 6 months)

Independent of the above TT has decided (been forced? ) to take only local racing on 239 (apart from some exceptions like Cheltenham yesterday) - anyone wishing to watch overseas racing will need to buy a new decoder (Dilog decoder? ) of which they only have enough to supply their 'bookmaker customers' (who is willing to fork out 3% of their 'over the counter turnover on SA and International racing').

So where do we go from here :X

at the moment 239 works for local racing and as a home user you are supposed to link into tabonline.co.za and register for the internet live streaming for international racing. I hope we'll be able to watch Dubai World Cup day!! ...until they have figured out what to do with home viewers.
