Out of respect for, and with respects to, Pirho... :)-D

NB... this was done on a skim through, could well be some strange results given the recent Vaal conditions and I wouldn't be surprised if I have got it totally wrong and none place! Tis based on good going and I'll be playing small, if at all!

R3 Best Of Three may have improvement. Was well supported on debut and did not perform badly when 3rd beaten just over 3l (only 0.1l behind Negev who, along with the 4th, won nto). Was again supported when beaten on the sand as hot odds-on fav. 66 weeks off and two runs since haven't been inspiring but one off the return (found market support again) and then on the sand. This is 3rd run after a rest and if the horse just doesn't particularly like the sand then he could well still improve back on the turf with those runs behind him. High draw something of a concern but will be looking to have a small e/w. The other reserve who now gets a run, Gracy Cat may also improve again back over this c n d.

R5 I like the look of The Money Shot but he has drawn 16 and though he has performed well from tough draws or lost ground recently, it would still be something of a risk imo. The one at a double figure price that interests me most is Glitter Alley. Another who has run well from poor draws previously, he has not done so well in his last three outings. He was reported as not striding lto though and from the 2 box here might be able to get into the race better, and he was a staying on 3rd on this c over 1800 when he last had a decent draw. SJG may be in better form now and Chambers up.

R6 I'll go with Enchanted Guest, Showed his well-being with a decent win on the sand lto and previous turf effort was probably too short. Prior to that was a good 1.5l 4th over 1700 to Henry Higgins despite reportedly being cramped at the 250. Has a good draw here. Commodore Al may give him most to do, If Eternity gets a run (unlikely as 3rd reserve) I might have a small idiot e/w if the price is big.

R8 Be Mine Tonight, Sweetwater (returns from a 15 week rest) and Matilda's Love all make some appeal but their high draws dampen enthusiasm. Assuming low is favoured then I can see Inventive Girl and Captain's Delight fighting it out and my preference, with Strydom retaining the ride, is for the latter who may just prove the stronger over the final stages. Danielle will be of some idiot potential if getting a run. The surprise package could be the former CT runner, Spring Beauty. The blinkers are back off and though she has performed creditably in "wet" conditions, that last run was only her second effort in her last 9 runs on good ground. Has a good draw in 2 but the concern is the 24 week rest. If the price drifts I'll have a small interest but perhaps a watching brief would be more advisable.

R9 The two discounted solely because of their high draws but would otherwise very much come into the reckoning are Dalalaat and Touch the Sky. Of the remainder, I think Come With Me, Divano and Antigua could be the ones to fight out the finish. I was on the latter as an idiot lto and she did well to run 4th at 50/1. A repeat would see her close. Divano, omitting the time she reportedly was not striding, has 2 wins and a 3rd from her 3 other runs, all on this c and beat Dalalaat over c/d lto and looks to have a decent e/w chance but my slight preference is for Come With Me who was a good second over c/d in her penultimate run, and her two runs either side of that were in "wet" conditions, though her overall record on such ground doesn't indicate that is necessarily a decent excuse but both were at turf and she does seem to have a better record here, having been in the top three 9 times in her 13 c visits, slightly better value than Divano and worth an e/w imo.

I'll include some of the others mentioned (from low draws plus The Money Shot) in patents probably but... win doubles and e/w trebles n up...
R3 Best Of Three
R5 Glitter Alley
R6 Enchanted Guest
R8 Captain's Delight
R9 Come With Me

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)
