Great story about the trainer,he is a Doctor who only trains 12 horses as a hobby,owned by a Scotsman

I am sure Attheraces had an article on the winner earlier in the week saying its the trainer first runner in the Grand National and they bought the horse last year has a 10yo.

Remember taking a bet on the Grand National when I was staying in England in 2001...bet I took was for a 9 year old to win...9 year old did win and at a price !!!

What a race, thanks Hibs. I was on the road yesterday but I hear I never missed anything :
I went onto the internet last week and read up on the race and all the stats. Interesting reading about weight, age etc. Made a short list of horses with this info and came up with six horses. Put R50 bucks on each and made a profit !
Just saying that even a blind chicken can find a mielie !
Ps Glad to hear all horses and jocks ok.

Do you not think that if the horses didnt like the national fences the loose ones would stop jumping after getting rid of the devil from their backs ..

Eish. Over one particular fence there were not one but two loose horses who thought zut they're not jumping and ran across the hedge to the escape zone. A collision with the leader looked inninent.
And how was that loose horse who was on the inside of one of the leaders but carried him oiut to the outside. Yikes.
When is that Czech race the Pardebucki or somethimg?
