Race 8; Senor Santa: #3 HAPPY FOREVER; Very impressively downed Tiger Tiger who was a subsequent winner since; on my ratings he is weighted to slam Chekilli by 5; hot Marcus rides; something special here; nap him.
Race 9: Colorado King: #5 CAGIVA; another very impressive winner from several recent starts; on my ratings he is weighted to slam Ilha Bela by over 3; hot Strydom rides; nap him.
Prosperous punting

Some thoughts on a lovely day in Gauteng....
R2: Trophy Wife has been singled out by Sean Tarry on USO as 'probably his best on the day' - so should be the right one - Carole Bouquet to chase her home
R3: Sendintheclowns looks the right one courtesy of 2 seconds in her last two; but she was easily run out of it last time by Main Sunday, who had mostly been uninspiring before that win which was in a slow time - so odds-on no value imo even in a weak field; first timer Escudo is now wearing steels and the trainer was not confident about her chances, so the dangers could be The Light House (nicely drawn) who needed her last start and the same applies to Brainstorm
R4: Hejira has been mentioned as in with a good chance when she was scratched at the start last time, money has been coming, so could prove the right one; however Anyday Anytime gets blinkers today and has also found lots of money and can't be ignored for P6 purposes; Gun Fighter disappointed on the sand after a good debut on the turf (easily accounting for AA) so who knows; Ze Tzar looks moderate, but has probably improved with blinkers - place chance.
R5: Both Derby and Oaks Trials look very open to me, and being handicaps, the lessor lights down at the bottom of the handicaps can't be ignored imo; City of Athens ran above her rating in the Fillies Classic last week, so must be in with a good chance here; not sure about the KZN form, so Adhira not for me; Square Dance is fancied by the stable and could still improve as this is only her 4th start. Two roughies that could feature imo are Galaxy Gold and Crystal Arrow, who both look well treated by the handicapper.
R6: Supertube also ran above his rating in the Classic last week, so just on that must be a factor here - however he has to give Carlisie (poorly drawn) a lot of weight after only narrowly beating him in the maidens; Earl of Derby being by National Assembly has some stamina doubts imo ; Atomic Rush is probably at this correct rating, so must have chance; again not convinced of the KZN form, so Ilitshe not for me; the other roughie (together with Carlisie) that could feature is Lavender Landscape.
R7: Very open looking fillies and mares sprint handicap; lots with chances, but again for me the value is towards the bottom of the boards; Fanzene won last time over this trip just beating and Dolomiti - today F is better off at the weights with Dolomiti, so good value at 33/1 imo and wort inclusion with the obvious ones like Choir Maiden, Dolomiti, Honorine, Winter Passion and Kinematic Countess.
R8: Another competitive field lines up for the Senor Santa Handicap - for me I can't really choose between my top 3 - Chekilli, Here Comes Billy (both course and distance specialists) and Skitt Skizzle (could be much better than rated) ; then Happy Forever can't be ignored and Link Man (while inconsistent) should beat HCB if he can repeat that effort - Welwitchia is expected to need the run.
R9: Everything points to Cagiva; won very well last time when not well in - ran to a 106 on my ratings, so very well in today; Halve the Deficit to give the stable a 1-2 from Ilha Bela
R10: Don't have my pin at the ready, so will just sit out this one.
Enjoy (tu)
