I favour one of the other South Africans in the Sun Clasique race at an even bigger price. Sushisan was a ruuner up in the July won by Eye of the Tiger. If I remember correctly Sun Classique was also in that race and was well beaten. 2006 was some time ago but with Ryan Moore and the offer of 33/1 why not.

Sun Classique has ridden in one July, which was last year and finished 7th beaten about 3 lengths back.

Sushisan and Sun Classique have never raced.

Sushisan would need a miracle to win, Sun Classique is a better bet.

Most of the races are very open, this means there should be plenty of value and place betting on Betfair could be the answer.

I have compared the prices of the local SA bookies and Betfair odds and the local SA punters are getting shafted once again.

I think this is one meeting to watch and enjoy without getting too heavily involved.

Thanks for correcting me. I still think that Sushisan at level weights with Sun Classique might be interesting.

Lets face it, there are no Donkeys at Nad al Sheba and just about any horse in any race can win regardless of how they are priced up

Will be shouting for Jaypeg too. A Margate busninessman has a share in Jaypeg and it would be nice to see him do well. Would also be nice for Anton to prove his skills against the best in the world.

Without wanting to take anything away from Sun Classique and Jay Pegs great wins I can't help but think how Pocket Power would have fared.

Hopefully the world can get to see him race internationally as well.

Would be great to see Sun Classique in the UK as well and teach these poms to keep quiet!

Today the SA punters must have cleaned up as well. Honour Devil traded over 8.5-1 in running on Betfair, Jay Peg was trading between 80/130-1 and 20-1 a place and Sun Classique was 8/10-1 on Betfair. Asiatic Boy was 4-1 on Betfair in the "without Curlin" market. I had small loyalty bets on each so it was a profitable day.

I was monitoring the local SA prices and they were a joke in comparison.

The feeling of pride today means more than the money anyway...
