Did Frankel win that particular race? Is there a comparative time....

Frankel 1:39.24
Kingman 1:39.06
Frankel's time was by some way not the record time - this was the closest he got to being beaten.
Queally got flak from some quarters for the ride he gave Frankel in that race. With all that they'd been through, Cecil and Abdullah were not likely to flinch at this and the rest is history.
Best winning time [ at Ascot ] is 1:38.70
St James Palace Stakes
Kingman 1:39.06

From FB
KINGMAN's visually devastating turn of foot to land yesterday's St James's Palace Stakes has been backed up by Timeform. The global form experts are reporting that the 22.35 seconds he covered for the final 2 furlongs is the fastest clocked at the track over any distance!
He also recorded a time in the last 2 furlongs a whole second faster than Sole Power in the King's Stand Stakes. Whooosh!

Looks like Wise Dan will make his come back from Surgery later this month
great news
USA: Two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan, who underwent colic surgery in May, is being primed for a return to action this month after pleasing trainer Charlie LoPresti when working at Saratoga on Saturday.
The popular gelding, who has won 21 of his 29 starts, including ten at the top level, came through emergency surgery after becoming distressed following a routine gallop at his Keeneland base.
He had two workouts at Saratoga in July and Saturday's effort under exercise rider Damien Rock has left LoPresti, who trains the seven-year-old for owner-breeder Morton Fink, eyeing the Grade 2 Bernard Baruch (1m½f on turf) or the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes (1m1f on dirt) at the track.
Both races are on August 30 and LoPresti told the Blood-Horse: "I was very, very pleased with what I saw.
"That's the kind of work I was looking for this week. I want to see him back to where he used to be, and now he's coming the right way.
"I've got two options. If he keeps going the right way, he'll either run in the Baruch or the Woodward, and I liked what I saw on the dirt. I wouldn't rule the Woodward out."
LoPresti, who will also consider running Wise Dan in next month's Ricoh Woodbine Mile, a race the son of Wiseman's Ferry has won for the past two years, added: "There's plenty of time to decide.
"This [strong work] is going to give me a breather. I don't know what the general consensus was with the handicappers and the Daily Racing Form guys, but that was an awesome work."

What a lovely dilemma to have.
As Bob said, Kingman not likely to travel to the States but would this not be that race of the century. Well so far anyway.....

Kingman is carded to run on Sunday in Deauville but it rained on Thursday and one of their runners Western Hymn never liked the going there today . They will make a decision on Sunday after Gosden walks the course.
