Man Utd qualify automatically for Europa as Man City won the league cup.

Not so, also dependent on firstly Arsenal finishing in the top 4 and winning the FA Cup if United finish 7th.
The following scenarios are applicable:
If Arsenal don't achieve top 4 but win FA Cup Arsenal qualify
If Arsenal make top 4 and loose FA Cup, Hull qualify.
Therefore, the only way United make Europa league is if Arsenal make top 4 and also win FA Cup or if United finish 6 (which based on current state of affairs seems highly unlikely)
Personally I hope no Thursday night football as well as the Glazers make a commercial decision and fire Moyes and his band of clueless men, with the possible acception of Chris Woods.

Has there been a United team with less pace, less structure, less confidence, less drive and passion, less etc than the current one ????
I actually watched a part of the match yesterday and they were poor to atrocious...only the relegation teams are slower in getting the ball from defence to the opposition and this allows defences to set themselves...I couldn't see ONE United player who would get a start in a top 5 team an hope that there is a clean-out of players and manager with no Europa League...United would be an insult to that competition by taking up a place deserved by another team from another league...
By way of alternative, Moyes can only work with resources available so with no pace in team, he could have had Feleini on, knock the ball up for him to hold up and bring the midfield into play to help on attack...instead, United were slow in moving the ball up the field. Everton defence set up and United trying to find killer pass through 8-9 defenders... and then when caught in break, midfield too slow to get back leaving defenders and De Gea short on numbers...Evertin played like the away team as they had too much pace for United...and pace creates space...
Only way United team could have got slower yesterday was to bring on Giggs and Ferdinand !!! :S
