Maybe the question his how did the conversation go after the race with the trainer? Clearly wasn't a total shock of we know of someone who tipped it ( I personally backed it) the question I think is why would the trainer with a small strong try and manipulate any of his owners. When they sit down and talk I'm sure the trainer probably going to say, sorry but really didn't think she would win with what was showing. No harm in that.
Scotia hit the nail perfectly on the head. At 40-1 if you own it what's a small wager for interest sake. If he is a form reader and he couldn't find the form in there to back his own runner would his trainer have changed his mind. He was prob on the heavily backed favorite and talking from his pocket in the heat of the moment.
