Yet again a very poor turnout in the super 15. It's not as if there is a lot to do in Wellington on a Saturday evening

And this is what big suckers SA Rugby is in that we support this in the form of split revenue to the detriment of the players who have to contend with travel, extremely biased refereeing in favour of home teams and derbies where we kill each other and suffer the consequences thereof in the The Championship, World Cups and end of year tours...

And knowing that, our administrators still agree to more derbies where we kill each other as compared to the Aus and NZ derbies where the intensity is nowhere near the same...and to think we share the revenue from three ways...I think the TV deal expires this year or next and we need to do what is best for SA rugby...
Aus and NZ can play Japan and the Pacific Islanders and lets see where they get the money from to entice the Pacific Islanders to play for them...rugby is the number one sport in NZ but population of 4-5 million means they are heavily dependent on Aus for their survival...and rugby union is not the number one sport in Aus so both will have to make do with reduced revenues if SA breaks away...we have supported their development and professional structures to the detriment of SA rugby and its players...

Our crowds have not been all that great either....i for one think a break away will be to the detriment of sa rugby, you will see sa rugby fall even further behind new zealand. what would you rather be playing against northern hemisphere teams...:S

AIG sponsor the All Blacks so the money that goes into Super Rugby does not end with the All Blacks. SA have too many teams in the Super 15. If they had 3 teams they would fly as the best of the best would be playing for those three sides. The administrators only see dollar/rands/pound signs. The fans mean nothing once they have bought their season ticket or match ticket. Rugby in Australia is one of the least supported sports yet there teams always seem to be there and thereabouts. Added to that they only have a population of around 23 million (off which 3 million are Kiwis and South Africans plus plenty from Europe and the Far East) yet they still produce. New Zealanders live for rugby and they selected a core group to run it off the field. SA have far too many administrators who know sweet fanny all about rugby, let alone sport.
SA should join up with the Northern Hemisphere then at least they will have a chance of actually winning something again
