Race 5; Appies race: #6 HIGH ARROW; won its maiden after 15 attempts but beat subsequent winner Richard Parker into 2nd; promising Craig Zackey rides: at least 11/2, 5's available
Race 6; Durban Fillies Guineas: #1 IN THE FAST LANE; Very classy; vastly superior weight difference; drawn on the paint; hot Fourie rides, hot Snaith trains; runs fresh: nap her
Race 7; Durban Guineas; #2 LEGISLATE; equally as classy as Captain America; again hot Fourie/Snaith combo; also runs fresh; at least 13/2 but should secure better than the current 6's
Race 8; Drill Hall:#7 JET EXPLORER; banked its class with a good 3rd in the Queen's Plate; again Fourie/Snaith; again runs fresh; at least 10/1, 16's available but dont be breaking the bank at 25's!
Prosperous punting

We have Omaticaya running in the KRA Fillies Guineas today. She had a nice prep run and has come on from that. In the Fast Lane is the one to beat from a good draw, but there must be a question mark about her fitness. Lanner Falcon had a very good prep run, but has to overcome a poor draw. Athina looks the best of the Gauteng fillies, closely followed by Not Sulking (poor draw) and Santa Carolina. Maybe Yes rises in class, but is improving and well drawn. Sea Cat has had a productive time in PE and has a chance. There is tremendous depth amongst the 3yo fillies this year, and all of those mentioned could win this.
I think we have a decent each way chance in this competitive race.
Captain America is a short price to win the KRA Guineas, but I think Arcetri Pink is the value play.
The Drill Hall is always a tricky race as it is a prep for many classy runners. Sadly, Master of my Fate is injured.
The two class runners Beach Beauty and Cape Town Noir should fight it out, but both have poor draws to contend with. Here Comes Billy has done very well sprinting, and he could surprise. Lake Arthur now gets a run over his best trip and is another interesting roughie.

Well done on WITCHERY. Wonder if it might have been different if Khumalo had Brown Sugar with the pace.
