Yes of course it could win easily - but to my small mind I'd rather take 9/2 about a horse like Rio Carnival in the 'main' 1900 - it has the form and is well in at the weights - the only doubt is whether it will see out the 1900 - than taking odds-on about Futura, who has only reputation in his favor :

GB the 1900, Rio Carnival, I don't think too much can be read into it's last run, reason being, with the exception of Beach Beauty and CTN, the balance were returning from a rest and clearly not distance suited. RC on the other hand, 1400 - 1600 is he's game, so for me it was not surprising he finished where he did. The finishing margin (behind BB) may well be flattering because the race was over as a contest some way out and she was geared down, so it would appear as if all behind her were running on, but that's not true. RC's most recent attempts beyond 1600, whilst not disgraced, he was comfortably held. He may be bred to go tonight's distance (I'm not clued up with breeding), I just don't see it, especially from the draw. To me it's no surprise he is easing out in the market, opened 33/10, now 9/2 available, most probably start bigger at race time - just my opinion.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

First time at Gville, first time under the lights, first time over distance. He must be something very special to win.
My double for today is race 1 Heart of Winter X race 9 Bold Attitude. The rest is very open.
