Vee Moodly says "We have the products resources and necessary skills to enhance the efficiencies of the tote betting network in Zimbabwe".....................they sure as hell do nothing for the tote betting network in SA.
Bookmakers in Zim can look forward to a demand for the open bet!

I really think getting that Racing back on track is just a way for SA breeders to find a new place to sell horses that cannot be sold here

They should rather try to sell to China

Harry H, imho, Kimb. about 3 years tops.
The biggest hurdle for Trainers in Zim is that their cost of sales is a lot higher than here..... for a lot less racing.
Some examples -
Very complicated to import our feeds, licensing, taxes etc. So only local feed available, eg 25 US $per bag of ration, 32 US $ per bag oats etc.
Labour about 30% more than here.
Accomm very expensive, dollar driven rates.
Cost of living very expensive.
overall, about 35% more expensive to race there than here.
Also, training tracks are not that great.
