neven even though I am not a fan of Man U I think that they have got themselves a very good manager and they do much better next season

How you can go on and on and on season after season inventing it about United and saying you hate them because of it is both somewhat strange n hypocritical wouldn't you say? - lol makes me think you may use Neven as an alias lol... as for VDG, what concerns me a little is he won stuff at Bayern n Barca quickly and then both deteriorated fairly quick n he got fired from both. Don't know how strong the squads were at those clubs when he took over. Anyway, his reputation seems fairly good despite that so time will tell I guess...

Liverpool has never won the Premier League. That is a big issue for the club not lifting a trophy Manchester has made their own. Van Gaal will bring a different dimension to the team. He has won just about everything with every team he has coached. You may want to call 2013/2014 a blip in United's armour, but I say watch them in the new season. Moyes biggest mistake was changing the coaching staff and his did not go down well with the players. United also has dead wood players that need to be replaced urgently. Let's see what Van Gaal does with he money allocated to him.

In saying so, United still add a bit of silverware to the cabinet in the unimportant charity shield. Liverpool added nothing, but must be commended for fighting to the finish and finishing second and qualifying for Europe. United will certainly hurt by not playing in Europe, but they will certainly bounce back.

Van Gaal is world class and will certainly make an impact. I never expected United to win every year, but their performance this year was poor for a team of such quality.

My predication is that United will finish in the top three in 2014/2015

You might have written it off Agra but it's a fact for the 2013/4 season... Can't write it off, it's there and will always be there for the season.

With a new manager the future looks fruitful for United. I won't put my cock in the block though... But improvement should be expected with Van Gaal, he has a great record! I wonder however how Rooney will accept the captaincy being given to Van Persie as I'm sure will happen. Will he leave?

I still enjoy Liverpools younger players, I think we will see our best in 5 years or so...
