Not really interested in either card from a punting perspective to be honest but, for what it's worth...

R1 River God 1 x 7 x 5
R2 Tiger Tiger 2 x 4 x 7
R3 Indemnity 4 x 3 x 2
R4 Can Cope 1 x 2 x 3
R5 Ayrton 3 x 2 x 1
R6 Roventas 2 x 6 x 5
R7 Johnny Rockets 4 x 2 x 5
R8 Spanish Tiger 6 x 2 x 1

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

Race 7 - Lauries Gold doesn't look an immediate winner in waiting but has a really solid record over these sorts of conditions and in a race that is likely to be tactical, it could well suit his prominent running style. He hasn't been particularly effective on his last two starts, but the first came after a break when only beaten ~3 lengths in a solid reappearance effort over the mile trip. His latest finished behind today's opponent in Johnny Rockets. He was reported to be coughing after that race though and that was over 1800m anyway, a trip that I don't think suits him. He's an out and out miler in my view these days, and there's obviously going to be some improvement from the third run after the break. Lauries Gold likes to sit handy and in a race where a pace is far from assured, that's the best place to be. Now he should be fully fit on his 3rd run, back to a trip he really enjoys over a course he runs well at (has won over this C&D) and in a race that will be run in a fashion that he'll enjoy, I thought 8/1 was too big.

Race 8 - Kisangani
had an unfortunate incident with the saddle slipping last time out, so you can completely forget that outing but on some of his recent form he has every chance in this, and I think he'll be seen to a better effect sprinting than over the 1400m we've seen him out on his previous two starts (before the saddle slip). Kisangani ran really well on his penultimate start though, as although beaten a couple of lengths, that came in a really good race for the grade, where the form hasn't worked out badly and to me, he shaped as if he needed a drop in trip. He was travelling so powerfully through much of the race but was given a fairly negative ride, and he didn't finish off the race too strongly. Kisangani though has plenty of form at this distance, a run in much stronger company back in January showing he's more than effective at the distance, beaten less than one length and in a MR70 race over a realistic trip, he ought to go close. 8/1 is a fair price.

I've had these two in a Lucky15 with my Scottsville two, good luck all (tu)
