Cant fault Mabaya record for MDK so this would be the one for win although short but at bigger odds I usually follow Siyabonga for place purposes (Phantom Bid). Overall win record as good as most jocks but his places to rides at 32 from 37 is probably as good as any. Only ridden 2 for Alexandra with both being placed.

On the subject of Shayna (R7)..

Seattle Trade beat Shayna by 0.25 length on 14 March 2014, in the run behind Spring Blaster and is now 6 kg's better off for beating her. Shayna is priced up 9/2 joint favourite, whereas Seattle Trade was priced up 33/1 and 8/1 a place:S

Not the worst value on the card, especially as that run was at today's inside track over a 1000m and Seattle Trade (who was drawn wider), came from behind Shayna but finished stronger to pass her. The extra 450m today should therefore suit.

Next run was in May over 1000 again was not the worst when although finishing 12 of 14, was only beaten 5 lengths behind Usisi, when she again had a wide draw and was also reported coughing.

If the paper race translates successfully to grass, must have decent prospects even with the wide draw again,if Shayna is assessed to have a realistic winning chance.

I fancy (R4) Gold Bank, (R5) Gold Bay and (R8) Cassia.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Mirror the moon improved round the turn and had excuses last time when impeded when still going well.

Tough for a 2 year old over this distance against older horses but meets a weak field and could get it right.
