the irony of ipi tombis defeat to kournikova was that kournukova was a reserve runner and only got a run when mdk scratched another one of his runners the day before ...if only he had waited till 8.30 am on the day of the race

I love reading about all these stories and memories of you guys. Maybe this year isn't vintage harvest, according to some threads, but I can make one safe bet - that is that it will also produce it's crop of stories, memories, etc. Roll on the July!

ne of my best July memories was watching London News win the July. Was in Varsity and in Margate at the time, took my last R500 which had to last me the rest of the holiday and put it on him. Watched the race in a little betting shop behind the Frey's Butchery. Was sweating when Sleek Machine made his run on the outside but London News just held on so had a very good holiday.
