Slower courts, slightly heavier balls (slower through the air), strings that allow more spin on shots...the serve and volleyer is (largely) dead in the game today...Federer needs to keep rallies shorter as he is half a step behind the pace to go toe-to-toe with the players of today but his options are very limited...
I also hope he gets his eighth Wimbledon as he is the most attacking player of the last 10 years rather engaging in long rallies and waiting for an opponent to make an error ala Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Ferrer, etc...the latter players always have low unforced error counts...

Agree with first one but doubt that Bouchard has the game to beat Halep...Halep seems to play better against opponents who hit the ball hard by using / re-directing the pace against them...and she has a much better serve than Bouchard...
Anyway, I haven't taken any bets as they are the two players I have followed from last year and felt that they would both get to number one at some stage and win Grand Slams in the near future (as at last year
)
All the best with your bets though...

Thank TN!
Was a bit nervous there on the 1st set tie break!
As you said this is the tougher of the 2 legs, so we just sit back and see what happens now!

Injury to Halep didn't do me any favors there. I think eugenie could take it from kvitova in the final
