No chance...their sporting seasons too entrenched...and to think that T20 was developed with US markets in mind...they have very, very short attention spans so anything more than 1,5-2 hours is too long and T20 is +-3 hours...

Football games last for a total of 60 minutes in professional and college play and are divided into two halves of 30 minutes and four quarters of 15 minutes. Games last longer than their defined length due to play stoppages - the average NFL game lasts slightly over three hours.

Agreed that the American football matches go to the 3 hour mark...this is for a sport that is established in the US...for cricket to break into that market, it needs to be shorter (not equal to or greater than) to cater for that market...

I checked and baseball, which is the summer sport that cricket would compete against, is also about 3 hours...
