Lovely gesture. Should really get more publicity.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

A 12 year old boy’s dream of learning to ride a horse came true yesterday. Phumelela Gaming and the Reach for a Dream Foundation joined forces and rallied behind young Sihle Botman as he took his first trot.
Having just completed his weekly treatment at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, Sihle made his way to the Thoroughbred Racing Development Centre in Eikenhoff where his dream was fulfilled.
Champion jockey Piere Strydom eased Sihle into a gentle rhythm as he embarked on what was clearly a milestone occasion for the Grade 6 learner. Strydom , one of SA’s top jockeys, won the jockeys championship six times to date and has ridden 3 Vodacom Durban July winners. He presented a delighted Sihle with a framed autographed memento of a previous Strydom winner including riding gloves and crop to keep the memories of the day fresh.
Overjoyed, Sihle had this to say after riding with champion jockey, Piere "I am very happy because my dream of two years finally came true. My dream is to one day become a jockey and I hope to pursue this afterwards".
Phumelela's Racing Executive, Patrick Davis commented “Phumelela is honoured to be fulfilling this young man's dream and are thankful to James Maree and Piere Strydom for their input in making this dream a reality. As a company and as greater horseracing fraternity, we are always willing to offer our help where we can".
The experience itself didn't just fulfill Sihle's dream but filled the heart of mom, Nomathemba Botman who commented "I'm happy to see my son’s eyes beaming. Being here to witness his dream is so worthwhile as I never believed it would happen. Today’s event is the optimism that Sihle needs to keep and remember when his condition tries to knock him down. Above all I am glad he now knows that nothing is impossible.”
