Nope Mac - I'm stone cold sober today.
Must say we had a really fine meal at La Parada yesterday +/- R 660,00 incl drinks and tip for three people - and could not finish the prawn tapas - highly recommended.
The Durban boys could learn a thing or two from these restaurants in CT - had an great meal at Societi Bistro on Friday as well

When reading through the thread I googled a number of restaurants in Cape Town. The prices are all very reasonable comparing with the UK where you have to take out a mortgage if you want to go out and eat at a good restaurant. When I lived in the US I could afford to eat out at least 5 times a week as it's so cheap.

Depends where you are what you like:
Sushi: 1890 House in Obs,
Indian Cuisine : Behari in Newlands
Ribs: Pirate Steakhouse in Plumstead
Steak: Cheaper option Pirates Steakhouse, or Carne in Town (expensive but good quality)
Pizza: Toad on the Road in Lake Side makes Great Zaas..
If you really wanna be cheap. there is always Burger King in the foreshore.

The first time i went there I was on my way to the Spur and a friend told me about them
I ordered a steak and my wife the ribs [because i was warned about the size of the ribs]
We took half of it home!
When we go to the movies now we go there first
