I'm glad to see Mike de Kock got two wins on the day ... I watched the Nunthorpe and it was disappointing. Shea Shea looked good until the last furlong and then just faded away.
I'm beginning to wonder if he really is a sprinter still. I know they tried him over a mile without success but that was years ago. Maybe it's time now for him to try it again? He just seems to lack that extra speed to overtake at the end of a sprint, but he's certainly got the speed to overtake most milers if he stays the distance.
Just a thought that occurred when I was watching the race.

Such a pity that he couldn't win that UK Gr1.
Shea Shea beat Sole Power 6 times in 9 encounters (bled in two and lost by a whisker in the other) but those same three runs were when Sole Power won Gr1's in England!
Still had a great career. Well done Shea Shea and all involved.
