And which horse is that ?
Depending on their pedigree Harry's Son,MLJet,Jayyed,Afrikaburn
Seeing that the Arc is over 2400m the only sibling from the above mention horses that could go a distance was Jayyed half brother Atyeb but bearing in mind that his half sister is Tayba.

Afrika has the pedigree
his mum is sired by Peintre Celebre who holds the record for the Prix
In the absence of anything else if we compare the times of Australias mile hes a bit short

Yet to see a Trippi in South Africa performing well in Grade 1 company over 2000m and more. Time will tell. I am no breeding expert but more likely the broodmare was a stayer, so will the foal, thats my thinking anyway. Dont want to sound like a scratched CD cos have mentioned it before that Australia's dam, Ouija Board was beaten by a South African bred horse in Hong Kong, Irridiscene.
On the topic of the Arc my pic on my profile is the unbeaten and twice winner of the Arc, Ribot, which was before my time but I am in awe with that horse. Not far behind is Seattle Slew and the last American Triple Crown winner Affirmed.

My bookies, with whom I have accounts, hadn't priced up for the Juddmonte before 9 or 10 a.m this morning. So i thought i would just wait and in the interim sent a few sms's to some mates as reminders that Australia was running. My mates backed the horse but i go so intrigued at work that I totally forgot. Only seen the race now on ABC's Grade 1 thread. Fantastic.

I see Taghrooda runs in the Yorkshire Oaks today, 2/9 or thereabouts. Deserved odds, her opposition don't look near her class and the race may well cut up before it starts.
