Just watching a presentation on Tellytrack.
One thing that stands out is the message "horseracing is a sport and is for the whole family"
If you looking to introduce it to a new clientele you better amend that to "horseracing is an HONEST sport ,and is for the whole family"......................and then be doing whatever possible to show that the industry is serious about ensuring that, with regulation and policing!
We seem to forget the very tarnished image the industry has developed over many years and many generations,and needs to strive to dispose of!!!.
I know I harp on this subject but test it........discuss horseracing in unconverted company and see how soon (and how often) you get "racing is fixed" or "it's too crooked" type comments...............if we don't change that perception(sic) we wasting our time.
