Its only become an overused phrase with no depth. All we see are races named after it
I wonder how much of our money was invested in this pie in the sky.
Personally dread hearing or seeing that phrase

Pemba for me in the 8th. Won going away last time on the track and should have a good chance in this field. Will wait to hear from sorrow before deciding the size of my bet.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

Another very hard card...my contribution for today...looking for two winners and then I'll be done for the day...going to be hard so may just have to be satisfied is I find one winner...

Race 1 - 2,4,5,8
Race 2 - 2,12,16
Race 3 - 3,5,6,12
Race 4 - 2,8,12
Race 5 - 2,4,9
Race 6 - 2,6,8,12,13
Race 7 - 1,2,10,18
Race 8 - 2,4,8,13

Experiment still going...took 4 days to double-up on initial deposit...this is a marathon of 1 month not a sprint of 1 day so I'll stick to the plan... :)

Won't be getting too heavily involved today.

In the first il have a small each way on #5 Estrella back against her own sex and will be running on at the finish with a decent jock up, nice e/w value at around 20/1.

In the last I feel Hermanus and Pemba will fight it out. Oddly when these two last met Pemba won going away over the c/d by just over a length and is now 1kg better off. Pluses for Hermanus are much better drawn this time as well as regular pilot Danielson aboard. Will play around with these two nice value at around 9/2 and 6/1.

All the best gents

Morning from a beautiful ,spring PE. We have 11 runners today with 2 for Oscar.

Race 1 Wild Raven is having her first run. She has issues so we will be happy with a good educational run.

Race 2 Othersideofmidnite a nice each way.

Race 3 swingers with Ultra Silver and Thunder Fury.

Race 4 Seaclipper stepping up from maidens is looking good. Piano Forest very capable. Don't leave them out of exotics.

Race 5 Two Gun Kid each way.

Race 6 Zenith place chance as also just out of maidens.

Race 7 Fantasy Hostess having her first run from Kmb, well.

Race 8 NAgain and Pemba both very well.

Good for studying but as usual... tough, with possibles aplenty. The usual recommendation of play small and my thoughts on 3 of them...

R1 Jolene could win on the form of her first two but her subsequent two efforts have been disappointing, on Poly debut here and for me too short in the market. I prefer to go with the consistent Howami, again has a poor draw but has run decently from them before and no reason to suppose she won't be competitive again. Both the debutants could have potential and watch out for Agent activity. Khumalo is up on Jolene's stablemate Honey Bunch, while there has (supposedly) been early support for Leisure Luck from the Smith yard. The one I like at a price though is the latter's stablemate Glitz And Glamour. "Luck" in the horse getting away on terms and not coughing will be needed but Veale is back in the saddle and from a good draw in 2 I think she could well be right there come the finish. Diamond Dynasty would make more appeal with a better draw but, even so, assuming the debutants don't feature, then she and Joy Of Hope could fill the trifecta and quartet spots.

R2 I am not convinced the extra 200 will be in Taylinlee's favour from box 14, she tired badly late on lto and though that was also from a wide draw I will leave her be today. Venita drops back in d, she has something to find with others on her penultimate run (over shorter) and perhaps is another with questions to answer nut, I think she could be competitive here and a top 3 contender. The tentative selection is Pretty Flamingo. She is generally consistent but has had issues from the stalls recently, but not under this appie in 3 rides so hoping there will be no repeat. Back over this more suitable trip she could be e/w value from a good draw of 4. Of those at big prices, I think The Special One is worth a look, finished in front of PF lto and has had a series of very poor draws, her box is only marginally better here but if she can find a handy place in running then she is not without hope imo.

R4 Plenty of these have questions to answer so the selection came as much by a process of elimination as anything else. That said, it might only take one to answer the doubts in a positive way and the race could be over! Seaclipper must have a chance but my concern is that from the 10 races prior to his maiden win, not one horse that finished in front of him has won outside of the maidens. It could of course mean nothing but it is a "worrying" statistic. Commanche Moon has been consistent recently and should be right up there but I am not yet convinced he is as strong on the Poly as he is on the turf and only 2 bronze in 10 d runs does not boost confidence. Kirkby Ninja does not appear to have a very good record under this jockey and is drawn very wide. Not convinced Diesel Engine will truly see out the 1600 and be effective. Sartorius tries the d for the first time and visits the c for the first time, looks held on the last run. Etc etc etc and there are also a quite a few with potential to cause a shock, little would surprise me in this race, The two that made most appeal were firstly Scuzami, could well perform better on the Poly, though he has come up against some decent rivals in his last two turf runs. He was drawn wide lto and has something of a better draw here and I think he could prove competitive though I could not back him with great confidence. And so the final selection goes to a girl... Endearment may be up against the boys but she ran well in similar circumstances two runs back and has been finishing well over the 1400 in her last two runs despite very poor draws. She is not drawn well here again but is on 3rd run after a rest and could prove to be the one they all have to beat.

R1 Howami x Glitz And Glamour x Joy Of Hope
R2 Pretty Flamingo x Venita x The Special One
R3 Mulaazem x Puchini x Altemit x Badger's Trail
R4 Endearment x Scuzami x Seaclipper
R5 Silent Partner x Two Gun Kid x Spellcaster
R6 Sudden Surprise x Special Effects x Fort Ozark (nutter Derbaas)
R7 Albert's Gem x Cool For Cats x Attachment (nutters Golden Fighter and less so Stroke One)
R8 After The Carnival x Suit Of Lights x Properzio x Hermanus (idiot Coniston)

Be(s)t of luck to all
