LD's Betting Diary - Chapter 3

It ran unplaced What a disappointing result that turned out to be. Rather than curse the jockey and horse, I decided to look deeper into my selection and see where I might have gone wrong. What stands out about this selection is the big price drift that was on, it started the day at 18/10 and jumped annoyingly just within my cutoff of 4.33/1 at 4/1. Murphy's law. A price drift of over 100%. It also didn't have much early interest on Interbet, clearly the insiders were not very excited about this one's chances, pity they didn't let me know. This kind of thing is something I may add to future systems, but I will have to research it further.

Today at the Vaal, the system likes CARTER in race 3, should the starting price be 2-1 or less, it's currently 18/10, so there's a chance of a bet there.

It also likes PENITENT PIRATE in race 4 should it start at 5/2, but it's drifted to 33/10, so it looks unlikely that I'll bet on that one.

With 35 mins to the off Carter remains at 18/10 and has over R9000 bet on it on Interbet. So it looks like it may be a bet unless there is a late price drift...

15 mins to the off and Carter has drifter to 2-1, just on the cutoff...

5 mins to the off and it's drifted again to 22/10. So the bet is off at the moment...

3 mins to go it's back to 2-1. It may be on again. This is crazy!

The betting site tells me it's been scratched....

10 mins to off and PENITENT PIRATE is 3-1, it needs to get to 5/2... C'mon!

1 minute to the off and it's still 3-1 no bet.

Luckily I didn't bet. The place paid 1.00, so I would have lost R20 overall on this bet with my staking plan.

The system has some fancies for today's racing at Durbanville. The system is currently loss making, so I would not bet them if I were you, but to test my system, I have to be the fool who does....

Race 2 #7 Even So, if it starts at 6/10 or less on tabgold. Currently it's 15/20. No bet so far..

Race 7 #4 Cat And The Moon, if it starts at 18/10 or less on tabgold. Currently it is 18/10, so it looks like it may be a bet later today.

Race 8 #4 Lucky Tuesday, if it starts at less than 33/10 on tabgold. Currently it's at 9/2, so no bet so far...
