As unwelcome as these occurrences are, they are part and parcel of racing as you guys have said.

Just as brassing a horse like Reims in my treble when I got knocked out with the balance of the field. Heh, heh, heh, can only laugh but the game is a great leveller.

It is for this very reason that I got involved in designing new multi-leg games for pari-mutuel where players are not eliminated on a rough result.

Especially important to keep the newbies interested and generally more players in contention, a good advantage for those that caught it but not completely destructive if you are part of the majority that did not.

Try and convince the operator though that such a product could be good for racing as it retains interest and would help in the learning process of new players.

There view: lets rather cater for the mugs that continue to chase the game from one race or game to the next which is a very small minority of the experienced punters, mostly addicts and people suffering from impulsive behaviour.
