Good to see the race getting lots of publicity in France, they really seem to have taken the marketing up a notch. Nice TV campaign as well:

Shamkala that's all u need to know for the arc, if they run her in the arc and not the dollar.. Soumillon on her back, bottom weight and still improving with only 3 starts shud improve from last time out against avenir who had its 5th start and in good to soft ground, no rain forecast for the week so it wud be hopefully better ground.. A lot in her favour.. Where avenir is, shamkala will be ahead of it maybe why benoist chose to ride ectot instead..

It will be shown providing no feature race in Ngong !!

Is there no tv channel in SA like the UK's channel 4 that would be willing to show racing on a Saturday afternoon ,the punter can pay for the broadcast from the take out

The Channel 4 broadcast is heavily subsidized by Qatar, without the subsidy it's pretty certain the show would disappear. Maybe the time will come when SA attracts interest from Qatar, why not, they have horses pretty much everywhere else. It would certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons.

I m sure a company that is running a campaign to promote racing could approach a channel and offer them racing once a week and pay for it out of their marketing budget
