Really tough card imo, the 9th looks like a minefield but looks decidedly simple compared to the 8th! and that is without knowing if there is to be a draw bias today. My e/w selections for interest...

One bet for the day for me. Race 6 Salute The Sun, running off a turf rating of 57 with a sand rating of 81. He has been running very well at present and hasn't run on turf since being a maiden. His maiden form on turf wasn't bad and his first few runs on sand were around his turf rating before improving. If he runs anywhere near his sand rating with 54kg's on his back he will be very hard to beat. Sacred Ground also ran well above his rating last time out but being a small field could have just been one of those runs. My one concern with Salute The Sun is the number 1 draw, we usually see a preference for the higher draws when they run on the Outside track. See where they are running from before having strike.

A bit of an idiots e/w in the first race at 66/1 return of the roar. I think the 1000 is what this horse is looking for not disgraced behind chocolate eclair last time over the course. Also not disgraced against all jammed up. Both runs she was right up there with the pace and tired over the extra 200m. A line through the last three runs (1450 too far and wide draw on turf inside track, also never in contention against starve I'm willing to forgive and take a small e/w can't get hurt at 12/1 a place.

I saw this morning Julie was bankering the 10 horse in the 8th race in her pick 6. I am bankering the 2 horse. Maybe she knows more than I do?

Does Nico commentate off the TV or glasses .........................didn't pick up that Majestic K never left the stalls !
