10 races to discuss...first race off at 1220

The seventh is over 1400m and promises value. At this stage the runners that get my attention on ability are Max The Man and Zanzibar Man where good course and distance form can be found.Plenty others that have shown respectable form over the distance.Strydom rides Lost Island and the weight puts me off that one.Due And Payable is at his highest so not for me.The two old campaigners Reign Victorius and Kapellmeister must be respected but my guess is for minor money.Solar Triptych seems held and Move Like Jagger might be looking for further?A few with Kzn form including the favourite Tabreek and some form suggest they will battle here

Post your fancies etc please

Money for
Race 1 Big Boss 10-6,Social Lad 14-7
Race 2 Seventh Symphony 5-18/10,Al Dee Kay 17/2-9/2,Lady Eleanor 20-9,
Race 4 Alice Springs 33/10-2
Race 7 Tora Tora 10-8,Move Like Jagger 10-9,Last Eclipse 14-10,Approachable 20-12,
Race 9 Sweetwater 10-15/2
Race 10 Trip Kings 20-12

Louis does this often and when the upgrade occurs they arrive like soldiers. He obviously does this to get better prices and it works

Seventh Symphony x Alice Springs my double for the day.

Got a free evening so had a look through the card. Here my fancies.

Race 1 - The big show looks the pick of the lot from the raced runners with the Woodruff runner big boss looking the best of the unraced horses finding a bit of betting support.

Race 2 - Nightmare of a race. 7 or so horses have realistic chances of winning this. Some decent first timers with Crimson oak the one to follow from the it's magic formline. I like Medea with Lerena on board but won't be betting on this one.

Race 3 - Fly Phillippa the firm favorite for me here. Had a couple decent runs and has been looking for a bit extra I feel. Think razzle my tazzle is better suited to the sand so could see a couple newcomers placing or black oleander who looks to have a bit of e/w value.

Race 4 - Panchatanta. My top pick for the day, two very nice runs and can't see this one missing. The De Kock horse, alice springs, should run a place if suited to the turf.

Race 5 - Masterly my pick e/w for this one. Would exercise a lot of caution in this one with a number of horse taking big steps up in distance so could be anything. Ganesh a top sort is drawn furthest out and hasn't placed from barriers greater than 10 so wouldn't back him as favorite like the bookies. Dynamite jim at 25/1 odds I can only assume there's something wrong with him considering he's proven this distance, has placed in 8 of his last 9 and jumps from pole with an appi claim. (anyone with info?)

Race 6 - Quite like Kingston mines in this one. Very decent comeback run and a consistent sort. For an e/w punt, Final score another one in good form and represents the Africa blue formline. The king club has a place chance drawn widest which could offer some value.

Race 7 - Tough one to call this one. A lot will depend on how Tabreek settles on the track and could easily win this if suited. Due and payable holds a lot in this field but carrying a much bigger weight this time out. A lot of guys with chances drawn very wide but i'll take an e/w bet on max the man. Was widest drawn last time so barrier 10 not too bad and should be ready for this one.

Race 8 - Victoria young for me in this one. Has done very well against some top sorts in her first two runs. King V offers some nice e/w value, loves this c&d and should give a good account.

Race 9 - Mystic tigress for me in this one offers the value. Very nice comeback run and shouldn't miss the places jumping from pole. The obvious danger is Ataab but think this one MT could sneak it here.

Race 10 - (edit) Think Rafa willl offer the value in this one with carter probably using this as a prep run. Should make a good improvemnt in his third run and looks good e/w value. Wallingford should be around and about too after his last 2 runs.

Missed a trick here. Carter is carded to run in the first race at Turffontein on Saturday for a lot more money and you can bet your bottom dollar they just sending him out for a light race. I'm going to put a line through him and look elsewhere.
