I think my wording was wrong. The straight and the outer course have the same last 600m or so and the 2 turns have the same back straight but the inside track has a slightly shorter straight and bend of its own. I think with the configuration the outer track if probably further but if you cannot get to the front after a 450m straight, how long do you need?

Today's Treble

Scotts:
Escovitch - Eye Catching debut - Ran on strongly behind translunar and short head behind Casciano who came out to win next time out on today's C&D, beating Rif Raff who then went on to beat Escovich.

Turffies:
Vancouver Gold - Decent debut behind Bichett - Strong formline to follow - Main danger will be the 1st timers - Tarry's Toreador filly could be good enough to win 1st time out? Of the raced runners Sendintheclowns - Marwing should be right up there again and Strydoms ride not far behind. But all n all hoping for natural improvement and another winner for Azzie and JP.

Bulleting Home - Again been following him since his 2nd run at Scotts where he ran on strongly. Good draw and Strydom up - NAP

Morning, today we have 5 runners starting with Drury Lane in the 1st. Her last run was much closer to what she shows at home and with further improvement expected, she is a must in everything. We then have Academy Princess who is much better than her last two runs. I have fitted blinkers on her as we felt she was not putting her best foot forward and she certainly seems to work well with them on. In the same race we have Finding Neverland and I am still at a loss to explain her last run. I am just putting a line through it and going on from there. She worked very well on Saturday so both horses must go into everything in this race. In the 6th we have Threshold and he has a lot of ability but also a lot of problems. He is definitely better on the grass and down the straight so has an upset chance. Whale Watching is a horse that has a bright future if we can keep it all together. He is improving the whole time and if not green and he brings his home work to the course, he will win. He has his niggles but when he works, he works with the likes of Flyfirstclass, Threshold and Chill and only Fly can beat him and that is in sprint work. He could be anything as a stayer if we can keep him well. A must in everything. Have a great days racing.

Gordon Racing Stables

Racing today is at Scottsville where the weather and going are good. We have another busy day with 8 runners !!
Race 1 Fragrant Beauty has not run for a long time but is working well. Looks a fairly week field so should run well.
Race 2 Joshuas Crown it's a difficult small field just hope for some pace. Seldom runs a bad race.
Race 3 Mambo Master had a very good run 1st time out on the Poly, if not too green should be there.
Race 3 Siyabonga Casey needs to improve
Race 4 Exotic Dancer had a fair 1st run on the Poly has improved and should run better
Race 5 Night Dancer have been waiting for the grass but drawn badly.
Race 8 Diversify might have been too far last time. Could run well with light weight.
Race 9 Berthe has been so unlucky, drawn well lets hope for some luck !!
Not a bad day on Sunday, nice winner with Vienna Wood, Triptonic stood in pens, Call the Clown disappointing. Nice 1st runs from Syringa and Roy's Model.
Have a great day !!
