did you spread the word about the passmore graft many years ago?

No ........it wasn't mine to spread !!!.............and you have just made my point for me............... No philanthropic goodwill was going to get that graft into the public domain(and no journalist would have been given the nod either in case you think that's the solution) ............it would have taken regulation to make any improvement.
Also remember that handicap was a misnomer in those days - RF determined that all races were weighted by number of wins!
In addition, the Passmores didn't need prep runs to set up their coups!!!

Pirates you are missing the point

In this case it worked out fine for the guys that took early bets( remember gambling is the most important part of horse racing )

Of course not every horse was a trier ...........I knew that better than most.........I'm really not understanding your point though - you continue to confirm my point ........every effort was made to prevent the information being out there...........I am trying to imagine Deez getting a response when trying to interview Reg Passmore about his chances for the rest of the day!!!!!...........the answer would have been 2 words ,if any at all B)

Your still missing the point

You are one of the 5% that are winners that put the time in

The 95% of us that are losers are not as lucky as you guys and need to believe that every horse is 100% ready

Now we agree!!!! It was only good for the insiders.
The punter does have more information now ,but a lot of it is the expected comments.......... graft still exists and that isn't disclosed on Tellytrack, nor would I ever expect it to be..........some of the difference is perception ...............Wherever there is money there will be attempts to grab some......not bleating about that as it's just a fact of life.
We just need as much help from the regulators as possible!
