Got a tennis and Varsity Cup multiple going...all the tennis in so far...
The draw in football for me is what makes it a not so good betting proposition. I love the American Sports. This Monday morning I had an Ice Hockey bet with Vancouver Cancucks and they were leading 5 goals to 2 with 12 minutes to play, they ended up drawing and winning on penalties. Cost me 3k, as I said the draw in a bet is a killer grrr. But I made up on the basketball picked up 5k for a R450 outlay. Was proud of myself the other day, I play most of my football bets in the South American leagues, I analysed and went through the stats and for R130 outlay won 5k. As for tennis, I like a flutter there too but that being an individual sport makes it hard for the lesser player to make a comeback when they down.

The reason I stopped punting at corruption park because of the b.s
How can a horse that in the last 2 runs was 14lenghts and 20lenghts behind win today ???
So what happened in the last 2 races ???
Must punters study form or guess if the horse will run a honest race ???

D - 17 the horse went 66/1 to 75/1, no other movement so unless they punted it abroad I am not sure why you think it is corrupt. No way would Ziets have let a horse he was "sure" would win go off at that price.
There are sh1t results all over SA (opening price and sp should ALWAYS be looked at in conjunction with movement... eg opening 20/1, drifts to 40/1, backed back into 20s could be an example of greedy "people" just trying to get the max price at the expense of punters)... I think it highly unlikely this one was corrupt as there is no suggestion on the market of this, just a genuine shock.
Much rather bet on that Bingo card than plenty I have seen on turf or poly lately, just hope that Bingo can sustain it and transparency becomes their key word, it would no doubt help save them.

Remove your blinkers...
The only reason the horse was 66/1 and 75/1 was simple becuase the last 2 runs was 14 and 20 lenghts behinds.
How is it ok for a horse to perform so bad in the last month then win today ???
Maybe they never even punt this horse but its no excuse as this horse was pathetic in the last 2 races.

@Dean321...apologies for any confusion...only sport I myself play is football (and some road-running)...the tennis, rugby, basketball and volleyball refers to sports in which I take bets...
The two Varsity Cup rugby matches I had in multiple with tennis came in so it was a good betting day...

D -17 it (supposedly! lol) takes R20 to move a horse from 66/1 to 20/1 in SA lol so I still don't see how you are so sure there was corruption in this instance, nor do you really answer that point. If I have blinkers on then fair enough, so be it, but if so then I would humbly suggest that the handlers forgot to remove the hood from you before loading you in the starting stalls
Bud, I only disagree with your specific attack on Bingo (and this specific horse), I see no evidence of corruption nor reason for it. I have stated long and hard about the need for transparency in SA racing but I will not hold any one particular centre at fault nor wish to see a centre close, the lack of transparency in SA racing is across the country not simply in Bingo. But the powers that be don't seem to give a toss and there is not enough voice from the punters to force change so likely there will be none.
Anyone know the well-being etc of Tarry's Rumbling Lion tomorrow in the 6th...?

@ titch
@ rockspider
@ englander
So what happened in the last 2 races when running 14 and 20 lenghts behind.
So a horse can run 14 and 20lenghts behind and then win in the space of under 40 days.
Are we expected to believe that is normal ???
Must the punters guess when the horses will run a honest race ???

D17 you are asking a lot of questions which some clanners have tried to respond to. You, on the other hand, are not answering... what is the gain here for connections?
I have no idea what happened in the previous races, as I said it was a shock result. The stipes should of course be asking those questions and taking the appropriate measures/action. Whether they did or not....
As Batman implied on the thread, rather than be overly concerned about the winner, where I can see no obvious huge advantage in the result to connections (unless it was punted abroad as I say), what happened to the fav? I have no reason to doubt Batman, so how come some seemed to have prior knowledge that the horse would not run well? And assuming this was not conspiratorial, why wasn't the world made aware? That to me is the problem with this total lack of transparency, a few seem to know and the rest of us can go whatever ourselves. And most, whether they are those in power or punters don't seem to care much about it.
