Quite a tricky card today.
Race 1: Kalahari and Saraaba should fight this out.
Race 2: Machismo looks slightly the better of the Tarry runners; kings Drive is the one to beat if handling the wide draw.
Race 3:Entisaar looked special on debut, but is 3kg worse off with Speedy Suzy, so it could be closer than the betting suggests.
Race 4: A very hot juvenile race, and quite a few of these will be in the Nursery next month. Frosted Honey could upstage the boys with the benefit of her allowance.
Race 5: Anything can win. The handicapper has been too harsh on Vino Veritas. De Kock has a strong hand. Touch the Sky has the class but may prefer further. Erin is capable. Lertasha is well weighted.

Race 6:Louis the King, King of Pain and Heavy Metal are the class acts, but all have question marks regarding readiness. Unparalleled could strike a blow for the youngsters. All of Tellina, Ashton Park, Halve the Deficit are capable.
Race 7: A classy field, and most are going 1800m for the first time although most of the main contenders should have no trouble with the distance, but it is hard to guess which will show any significant improvement compared to their mile form. Same Jurisdiction had excuses last time, while Siren's Call has done nothing wrong and continues to improve. They should fight it out, but all of Estidraaj, trophy Wife, Banbury, Smart Call and Tamanee will be in the mix for the quartet. Go Siren's Call!
Race 8: Ertijaal won the Cape Derby well, but Act of War was not right on the day, and the balance he beat were relatively weak for a Gr 1 race. He must be respected, but I will look elsewhere for value. French Navy and Forest Fox were running on well in the Guineas and Harry's Son should get the trip but may find the draw a problem. The winner should come from these four- I'm going Forest Fox each way.

1. LA STRADA massive runner
2. ROMANY PRINCE – bred to race – top draw, trainer, jock
3. BIKINI GIRL – place bet of the day – green last time and huge improvement expected
4. SLINKY JACK – nice type who could be anything
5. TOUCH THE SKY – worth having a small strike – also don’t ignore SISTERS OF MERCY for quartets
6. LOUIS THE KING – Tellina and No Worries
7. SMART CALL – I really hope something else sets the pace and she can have be given a chance – Hard to beat the top two but I think SC will be better over this trip
8. MAC DE LAGO and MLJET need to go into quartets – The De Kock horse should win though
9. CARRY ON ALICE –
10. J`S OUTSIDER – I also think Heart Of A lion could win
11. CUMBERLAND – place chance

Race6: King of Pain and Unparalleled out.
Race 8: Unparalleled runs, must be in the mix, although seems best softer ground.

Race 9: Carry on Alice- banker. Too classy here.
Race 10: Kingston Mines is a good stayer but not sure to be at peak fitness. Rodeo Sioux holds Wild Ash at the weights. S'il Voux Plait must always be respected. Supertube is on the up and has a galloping weight. Rodeo Sioux ew value bet.
Race 11:competitive handicap. Our Jet Improved last time and could improve further. Gambol and Laurie's Gold look the main dangers, together with Lucky Luciano and Luca Delago

I find it hard to judge the baby races but Frosted Honey left an impression last run, hoping Marwing has chosen badly :)
