H. Last week you wanted 14k for your share OR you'd buy another @12k.
Does this mean your now buying @6k - lol!
All jokes aside, I bought a share to have some fun with you guys - I'll come watch her run, and enjoy the moment 'win, lose or draw'. Of course it's much better to win - but it's the commeradre' that is more important to me.

No thanks H - as I said, it's for a bit of fun with you guys, and at only one share, it'll stay like that.
I'm off home now, have a good night - Jim.

Henny, read grecko's post properly,
> Anyway, i told the gys that i would try run te filly on the 10th,but it looks like its not gonna happen.I tried to push her for that, but unfortunately i dont like what i see,so i have decided to back off for a while, meening a month or so."
Grecko now concentrating on strengthening work to get her ready to race.
The filly is growing rapidly, she is already an imposing 2yr-old but grecko felt she was not quite ready for her debut.
If she goes to the farm for 6 months as you suggest, she'll lose her muscle and will have to start all over again.
Hope this clears things up, she needs a litle more work at grecko before she is unleashed.
As for selling of your share, if i remember correctly, the agreement is that you can sell to another syndicate member or back to ABC for your original purchase price, ie 7k.
Grecko has also suggested that if and when you get that 7k, you use it to take yourself to the (health) farm to lose some weight (condition). lol.

henny
i have said this before and tried to temper expectations. she is not a forward filly, simple as that. in my opinion on what i have seen, maybe she will race as a late 3yo, and we have got to hope she stays. she has no speed. simple as that. shes a good looker and a big filly so i am hopeful she will do us proud later. niote the word hopeful, if i was a betting man i would say we will struggle to recoup the purchase price.
my advice to any member of this syndicate is to have patience, theres no other way, the horse will run badly if we push her now. the other option is to sell out to henny, but i see his offer is going south lol.

Henny, the last i heard, grecko is still the trainer of Clan Classique and i relayed his message from this morning.
I believe oscar has offered to buy your share and arrangements will be made either way so that you wont be 'burdened' with the clan filly any longer than you have to.
As for losing 20kg, a month of protein, no starch, no alcohol and lots of water and sex should do the trick.

let's give the girl time, like Jim says it's just good to be involved, win or lose.
Here's a snippet about The Green Monkey:
Coolmore's $16m flop Green Monkey to be tourist attraction
Last updated at 22:55pm on 12.02.08
The most expensive horse ever sold at auction has been retired after failing to win a race and is now set to become a tourist attraction.
The Green Monkey, a world record $16million (£9m) purchase by Coolmore at the Florida Fasig-Tipton sales in 2006, has been bought to go to stud - but will also be used to attract visitors on special tours of the farm where he will be based.
The four-year-old ran just three times, finishing third once and fourth twice for champion US trainer Todd Pletcher, but has been partly bought from Coolmore's Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith by his previous owners Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Florida.
Irish agent Demi O'Byrne won a determined bidding war with Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock manager John Ferguson to secure The Green Monkey for Coolmore, but the colt developed physical problems and injuries which restricted his training.
Coolmore will still own half of The Green Monkey's stallion rights if he is successful in that sphere according to stud owner Dean De Renzo.
He said: "We purchased half of him to stand at stud in 2009, and he arrived at our farm last week. We're waiting until 2009 because he came in late and I feel that people have already booked their mares.
"His contract reads that he has to go to Ashford (Coolmore's American stud in Kentucky) if he does well."
Named after the Green Monkey golf course at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados which is owned by Smith and Irish millionaire racehorse owner JP McManus, the son of Forestry follows in the footsteps of Seattle Dancer, the previous most expensive horse to be bought at auction.
Robert Sangster paid $13.1m for the son of Nijinsky in 1985, but the half-brother to American triple crown winner Seattle Slew won only $150,000 on the racetrack before proving a flop at stud.
De Renzo and stud partner Randy Hartley now plan to build The Green Monkey his own barn to allow visitors to gain a look at the most expensive racehorse in the world.
De Renzo said: "I think people would like to see him. He's a pretty special horse. His price was the most expensive in history and he is a part of thoroughbred history."
