The best horse doesn't always win the race.

10 years 4 months agoI am sure u speaking about the 3/10 favorite. I know what u mean. Take it on the chin and fight another day. Yesterday was good and I don't want to throw it away at this course. I call it the goat track.the fantasy wrote:I would love to ,but with my run of bad luck.....Yesterday,left out Captain America for a 16 times pa.Friday evening Marcus cost me 4 P6`s,but tigers don`t cry we battle on . Scottsville 29th March 2015, HAPPY HUNTING GROUND - some decent prices on offer and a quick summary of my selections...
RACE 1 : Perhaps slightly short for the 1st timer DAENERYS, same goes for NINEFOLD. My 1st selection is SIMLA - again by QUERARI (GER) I make her a big runner.
RACE 2 : If the favorite doesn't win, very open IMO, too many risk factors here for me to make an outright selection, BAREGA has certainly had her chances with some of the best jockeys giving it a crack to no avail... JULIE a very interesting runner and probably worth an small eachway.
RACE 3 : SIR EARL GREY a fascinating runner in this contest, only thing against this three year old gelding would probably be the 1000m, I would make him my outright 1st selection if it was 1200m, nevertheless I do like the three 1st timers in race 1,2 and 3. SKRIK VIR NIKS a massive runner and will probably be finishing off the best if ridden patiently, CORRESOLVE could be the right one here and will not surprise me to see him win this contest, healthy respect for HIGH MAINTENANCE, all of which should be included for exotic purposes.
RACE 4 : Looks a one horse race fellas! banker in everything CAPTAIN OF ALL
RACE 5 : Some interesting runners here, KING OF TORTS has decent claims, the 1400m bothers me with respect to a few of the fancied runners, JET AGLOW, POWER KING and JET AGLOW not for me today, perhaps their class will pull them through but KING OF TORTS could steal this race. ZESTFUL was withdrawn last time out, unluckily it must be said, perhaps a stable exacta
RACE 6 : BEAT THE RETREAT now scratched... some decent runners here, it's one of those races where you either banker CHOSEN DASH or go field in the exotics, I will be in the latter camp.
To be continued...

RACE 7 : A competitive Listed KWA-NATAL Stakes, can make arguments for just about every runner here. PEJ and GAROBONDY have decent claims, wouldn't be leaving them out of anything. I prefer CLEAR SAILING today, she is great value and this race could be tailor made for her. A nice roughie here at 20/1 would be GENIAL, clearly the 1400m was too far for her in a feature last time out and she reverts back to a distance where she will be very competitive. A slight preference here for CLEAR SAILING to win but I will not be leaving GENIAL out of my exotics.
RACE 8 : ROYAL PLEASURE was very impressive on debut but so was MISS NIGHTINGALE and BIG SUGAR, no doubt all would have come on leaps and bounds from their first outings, again I've decided to firmly select EUTHENIA, another 1st timer as my 1st choice, seems there are a few birds chirping for this one, LOL
GET ON FELLAS!!!
RACE 9 : CAPTAIN GREAT my outright selection here, for the more conservative punters, perhaps a safer double CAPTAIN OF ALL X CAPTAIN GREAT, some 7/2 available.
Good luck to all and happy punting!!

Add Garibondy in the P6. Don't make Pej a Banker

10 years 4 months agoI looked at that horse and used Cotswold as my line - Cotswold runs too close to Gariboldy for my liking. Pej beat Cotswold by 9 lengths (granted she pecked)Deeno wrote:mr hawaii wrote: I thought PEJ and Royal Treasure looked PA and perhaps P6 bankers
