I did not realise that they were running at Durbanville. My favourite course in the whole wide world. In September of 1990 I took a R8 pick 6 and collected R17200. A whole lot of money those days. I had a banker in the last leg which Paddy McGivern rode. I stood in the tote after work and listened to the race. Wow what a feeling it was.
