I like panchatanta to go close in the last.
The best horse doesn't always win the race.

Was Majmu impressive? or had to beat the blind school?

I'm in the "impressive" camp...horse doesn't decide on it's opposition but comprehensively beat what she had to compete against...form of Fillies Classic largely intact so it shows where Majmu is relative to peers...and that is...at the top of the list...

Not a great advert for our racing.
Apparently SJ has a bloody mouth caused by the gate swinging back. Have to feel for the horse and trainer.

Bob, you are clearly stirring. The 3yo filly form has been highly consistent and of high quality, and while there is no longer a real star amongst the older fillies and mares since Beach Beauty retired, Hammies Hooker is no slouch. This was, without any doubt, an impressive performance, particularly after a break and in need of the run. Majmu won easing up, and although Same Jurisdiction unfortunately did not properly participate, and on the Classic form would otherwise quite possibly have finished a length or two in front of Trophy Wife, Majmu would still have won comfortably. This run confirmed the Avontuur Fillies Guineas run, and that performance was franked in no uncertain terms by Inara's subsequent Gr 1 wins.
If Majmu indeed goes for the Presidents Challenge as suggested by her trainer in the post race interview, she gets my vote to win it.
