I had no punt yet utter rubbish that the horse was priced up all of yesterday evening.

Dean, with the scratching of Czarina, Chinawhite wouldn't have to be too smart to win this.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 3 seventh feather I think has chance here.
Race 4 going with night of stars price on fly by night too skinny for me.
Race 5 going with my namesake taj AMIR
Race 8 imperial gaurd

Doing a small patent with the above.
The best horse doesn't always win the race.

As mentioned yesterday, not studied properly, but some thoughts on R2 and other possibles...

R2 Although it looks a competitive maiden, I like Jane's Priddy quite strongly here. The one that beat her was heavily backed and she was running on nicely that day. The collateral form, albeit somewhat tentatively trusted in these type of races, does indicate to me she might have the edge on others here. Despite the jockey arrangements I would include Snaith's Emerald Rose, form lines from the race are not bad and if coming on for that first run could be competitive.

R3 Seventh Feather looks the e/w value to me.
R5 Eastern Front e/w
R6 Brutal Force but having read the respective comments, also did an e/w on Sail For Gold
R7 Cotton Hill
R8 Charlie Strong

Be(s)t of luck to all

Race3: Gin for Genius should come on significantly from fair debut and is the selection. Stable companion In the Know has fair form but is exposed. Seventh Feather similar. These three enough for pick 6.
Race 4: Fly by Night too strong at these weights- banker
Race 5:Very open handicap. Captain Bagg good debut, and can be forgiven second run at Durbanville. Surprising that Nesius does not keep the ride. Field in the exotics, as I can make a case for Taj Amir at 40/1.
Race 6:Brutal Force is classy and is held in high regard by the stable, but I see no value today, and will go wide in exotics. Value in Midnight Runner and Ochoncar at the weights.
Race 7: Doesn't get any easier here. Vaughan Marshall has a strong hand, and perhaps MJ has picked the wrong one- Man from Malan is well in at best, although Annigoni is on the upgrade.
Race 8: Imperial Guard a confident selection. Charlie Strong the danger, but he was beaten by a long time battler last time and that field was very weak. Capstone van Kluh and In Full Regalia next best.

Kenilworth - 12 April 2015

Ramsdens

SUPERCILIOUS:
Race 2 - I hope she shows on the track what she shows us at home and can finish in the top three as I think she is a nice filly. She is probably looking for a bit further but she goes extremely well and I am sure Anton will get the best out of her.

PHILADELPHIA:
Race 3 - She is just a mystery. I have no idea why she puts in an atrocious effort and then follows this up with a decent effort. I just hope she puts in the type of effort on Sunday that we see every day at home.

CHINAWHITE:
Race 3 - We have done everything we can with her at home. She is doing very nicely and it would not surprise me to see her finish in the top four or five, or possibly even closer.

CZARINA:
Race 3 - SCRATCHED

SWIFT WONDER:
Race 5 - Andrew is on again and I don’t think he did anything wrong last time. He had him beautifully positioned and hopefully he gives him the same sort of ride but with a better result. He does seem to prefer the softer going but there is some rain forecast for tomorrow.

EASTERN FRONT:
Race 5 - He ran a fantastic race up the straight last time so maybe he is coming into the form we know he is capable of. He is doing well and I think he has an outstanding chance.

WESTERN FORCE:
Race 5 - I don’t know why he faded last time. I do think his handicap mark is a bit of a factor. If he puts in the effort we know he is sometimes capable of, he can win this.

BRUTAL FORCE:
Race 6 - His work has been sublime. He is pretty fit – not 100% there – but certainly fit enough to do himself justice here. If he gets the 7 furlongs well, he will win.

LIQUID MERCURY:
Race 6 - He is doing really well but is definitely a run short of his best. However, I am happy to run him here and he will give a great account of himself.

CATKIN:
Race 6 - He is one run short of his best but this run will bring him to his peak. However, I am still expecting a decent run.

COTTON HILL:
Race 7 - I think the 1400m is probably his best trip and I am expecting a big run from him.

ACT OF WAR:

CAPSTONE VON KLUH:
Race 8 - He is doing exceptionally well and I am really happy with him. I am hoping for a big run. It is not the greatest of races and with Anton aboard, there is every chance he can get his head in on the winning post unless there is a good first timer in the field.

@vyfsent...Thanks...I have been overlapping your ratings with my selections based on Racegoer / Sporting Post time ratings and it has been really profitable in set weight races...I have had 8 winners (a few were odds-on especially yesterday) and 5 places (I think all seconds) from 13 bets taken since Friday...hope that the trend continues...

For today...

Race 2 - 1
Race 3 - 2
Race 4 - 1
Race 8 - 1

All the best to all Clanners for today...

I agree on Man From Milan.... my best outsider for the day. Golden Peg I reckon will also be in the mix. Took smallish each way doubles the pair.
