What happens. Baffert jumps his horses out and they go a snails pace. The first 3 round the first turn is the first 3 past the post.

Mubtaahij ran a gallant 8th with very few getting involved from the back.

I was saying to my mates that I wish MDK takes the race by the scruff of the neck and sends his colt to the front. There will be no pace and the only way he can challenge is by sitting up handy.

Anyway, it was a great race and a top horse won it. I hope they remain in the USA and I hope Mubtaahij comes out of the race in fine order. I think if they remain and challenge in both the Preakness and the Belmont, they could be competitive.....

Great job by all and thanks to Tellytrack and Phumelela for showing the race to the SAF public!!

For those that missed the race

Hit the trifecta with my selections posted earlier, but made a loss. Would have got the quartet too if it was available but also wouldn't have paid much because the top two in the betting filled the other two spots along with my rovers. Nice race; ran to form.

Was the most boring horse race on the card, should of gone to bed and rather watched the boxing... :lol:

Was up with the pace but faded badly and was well beaten in the straight. Interestingly the winner came from a mile back to win which is how i thought umgiyo would of been ridden.

Really awesome race meeting. Good run by Mubtaahij, he looked a bit light in the ore parade and had to travel half way around the world so running 8th of 20 is a really nice run. He also didn't get the best ride but such is racing. I am going to back him for the World Cup if they give him a well deserved rest now. I also didn't realize he turned 3 only a couple days ago.. What a horse and makes his UAE Derby win even more impressive! Go Mubtaahij come 2016
